Most customers like to contact us first to see if we have their move date available for their Removals, we then spend a couple of minutes on the phone to gather some basic information.
Once we have the basic information we need for your removals, we offer to come round to your property when it suits you best. This is to simply record what is moving and what is staying.
When we come round to your property, we will have our form with every piece of furniture you can think of on it. We record everything in your house and leave you with the quote. We take a copy back to the head office in case you decide to pick our services.
The reason for recording your belongings is for insurance purposes. Although it hasn’t happened yet, we like to make sure that everything is covered just in case anything gets damaged. We have Liability insurance up to £1m and goods in transit to £15k.
Once we have left the quote with you, we generally leave you with this for a week or two. We then phone you or email to see how you’re getting on. Not to see if you still need out services, instead to see if there’s any way we can help, Give advise and answer any questions you need asking.
If you have decided to take our removals service, we get things rolling and give you a plan of action. we communicate with you from the very start. We confirm what is going and what is staying. whether you need any extra boxes, and what time would suit you best for us to start.
If you require our packing service, Chant Removals will supply all the equipment needed. Boxes, Tape, Bubble wrap, wrapping paper and tools for dismantling. What ever the needs for the job, we will supply it, we like to double check what needs packing and dismantling then we’ll complete it.
We like to ask our clients when you would like us to come and pack and what time we should get to your property. We give our opinion on the best time to pack for example, the day before the move if there isn’t a lot, and we always ask where you’d like us to start.
This can be the most worrying part for the client. Your hard earned belongings are in the hands of a Removals company and being taken from your property and onto a van/ lorry. So what really happens? We walk around, assess the best options and confirm it with you.
We usually start with boxes as these are easy to stack, take up less room and generally have the most fragile items in there. so when they are all stacked with no heavy items on top, you know they are safe.
Now its time for the big furniture, We load everything in such a way that nothing will get damaged, we cover all of your belongings with blankets to ensure no damages will happen. Even the slightest scratch would make us disappointed in our selves.
Once we have everything loaded, its now time to take all your hard earned possessions to your lovely new property, we unload and put everything in the rooms that you point to. No ifs, No buts. All you have to focus on, is unpacking. It really is that easy.
